We formally meet 6 times per year on the:
Our regular meetings are held in the Temple and normally commence at 6:30pm.
Members customarily arrive at least 30 minutes before the published start time to allow for preparation, greetings, and the smooth conduct of Lodge business.
Following the Masonic work in the Temple, we retire to dine together, continuing the tradition of fellowship and good company. The evening’s formal proceedings are usually concluded by approximately 9:30pm.
After dining, the bar remains open until 11:30pm, providing members and guests the opportunity to continue socialising in a relaxed and convivial setting.
Dickens Lodge membership has been considerably increased by the amalgamation of Hexagon Lodge in September 2019. The amalgamation is understood to be the first such joining in the Province of East Kent and joining members are actively taking part in Dickens Lodge.
We have recently been boosted by three young initiates, two of whom were Lewis’s and at present the future of the Lodge looks bright but we are looking to increase our membership to compensate for an ageing membership.
We have successfully raised money from Social Events for Abigails Footprint , a Medway Towns based Charity and have also made donations to local charities which support the needy in Medway.
If something you’ve read has sparked your interest and you would like to know more about becoming a Freemason, Wigmore Freemasons, Medway offers a welcoming and supportive environment for men from all walks of life. Many of our members first joined out of simple curiosity and went on to discover lasting friendships, opportunities to support charity, and a strong sense of belonging within the local community.
You do not need to know a Freemason to join, and there is no pressure or obligation at any stage. The easiest next step is simply to Just Ask. By either clicking the Just Ask logo, or pressing the 'button' below you can register your interest in complete confidence and at your own pace.
When prompted, please enter our Lodge Name and Number, which you will find displayed above. This ensures your enquiry comes directly to us, allowing us to respond personally and answer any questions you may have.
This is simply an opportunity to start a conversation, learn what Freemasonry is really about, and decide whether it is right for you.
We look forward to hearing from you.
